Midwinter is almost here! Don’t miss Bosworth University

Don’t forget to visit the Bosworth Team @Booth #3411 for a surprise too sweet to miss!

Plus, FREE CE at Bosworth University for the following classes:

Ergonomics: How to Practice Pretzel Free

Learning how to sit and stand should be natural. However, when you are operating in a field of vision that is smaller than a tennis ball, and that field is often not in a perfect position, we need to look at instruments; equipment and body mechanics that will help us maintain our body’s health for practice longevity. Schools teach the basics of proper seating but what about the rest of the body? How do we maintain a healthy body dynamic that will allow us to practice for many long years?

Through lecture and demonstration, the participant will understand:

  1. Rules of Body Mechanics: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly
  2. Posture: Does anyone stand straight anymore?
  3. Equipment: Ideas for seating and lighting that may affect the way you look at your patient
  4. Instruments: What the industry is doing for women practitioners
  5. Practical suggestions for “out of the office” and “in the office” body survival techniques

Air Polishing: A Patient Favorite

Not everyone likes to have their teeth polished. Many people don’t like the grit but think that polishing that way is a requirement for healthy teeth. However, polishing with pumice is very detrimental to the enamel and should never be used on the root surface. Air polishing is better for the teeth, safe for the roots and is the only way to prep a tooth for a sealant.

Objectives:

  • What is in traditional polishes
  • What options there are for air polishing compounds
  • What patients say about air polishing

Dental Practice Sparkle!

Put sparkle in your dental practice with infection control excellence. Patients judge the quality of a dental practice by what they see, hear and even smell – from the parking lot, to the reception room, to the operatory – does your practice sparkle with infection control excellence? Do your patients brag about your practice’s clean, professional appearance?

Jackie Dorst’s seminar reviews the latest CDC infection control guidelines and discusses patient perception of infection control. Seminar attendees will receive a 7-Point Evaluation of the dental practice’s infection control image. You are probably doing all procedures according to OSHA regulations and State Dental Board Infection Control Standards, but how do your patients perceive your practice?

Happy Veterans Day 2011

                                       Veteran's Day

Veterans Day is dedicated to honoring our military servicemen and servicewomen, many of whom continue to risk their lives for the lives of millions. The efforts of these heroes and the sacrifices they make deserve our respect and gratitude. We’ve asked some of our Bosworth staff to reflect with us. This is what they had to say…

“I have very fond memories of my military service.  Even though I did not have to go war or fight, I am very proud that I was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for my country.  Now, when I see soldiers returning home on television or hear the loud roar of military jets, it reminds me that despite of all of our problems, we live in the best country in the world, the United States of America.”

Specialist E-4, U.S. Army: David Schwellinger, Territory Manager

“I was raised in a military family and believe it was my privilege and honor to serve our great country. I will always be proud to be a Marine.”

Sergeant, U.S. Marine: Wayne Allen, Sales Manager

“The men and women who serve and protect our country are all heroes and should be thanked every day. Without them we would not be able to live our lives and enjoy the freedoms we have every day!”

Nicole Moreno, Marketing Manager

“I’m proud of the men and women who protect our country. Growing up I appreciated the stories my father would share with my sister and I. He was a U.S. Marine who loved his country and was proud to serve just like the number of friends I have in active duty. Stay safe and stand proud.”

Caroline-Nicole Figueroa, Marketing & Meeting Coordinator
